This role will primarily focus on design, architecture, and research as it relates to cloud native platform services and capabilities
Design and develop productivity enhancement capabilities to provide paved roads to software and platform engineers
Build highly automated solutions supporting heterogeneous cloud workloads leveraging a combination of products and cloud services
Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help with prototyping and development, and take solution through to launch and market
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams on new product/feature requirements for the paved roads
Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision makers
Build global knowledge and grow expertise in cloud deployments
Create and maintain a training framework for cloud products
Build a library of intellectual property
Develop and coach appropriate team members; be a team leader
Relentlessly drive process improvement and automation
Foster an environment of quality, innovation and continual improvement using collaboration, communication, and industry best practices
Education and/or experience
Bachelor`s degree in one of the following subject areas: computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership skills, being able to generate enthusiasm and commitment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience architecting and securing workloads in microsoft azure.
Minimum 5 years’ experience scripting and automation experience using more than one of the following: powershell, bash, ruby, python, etc..
Minimum 3 years (concurrent) experience with infrastructure as code technologiesTerraform or ansible preferred.
Devops or devsecops experience is desirable.
Experience working on regulatory or industry compliance efforts (nist 800-53, pci-dss, iso 27001, cis, etc.) specifically in a cloud environment, and the ability to translate compliance controls into security policies
Leverage api/sdk in continuous integration/continuous delivery environment (kubernetes, docker, terraform, jenkins, etc.)
Configuring identity and access management in the least privilege model.
Securing data in transit and at rest in more than one cloud provider.
Data loss prevention strategies, leveraging more than one cloud provider.
Secure serverless workloads.
Conducting incident response and forensics.
Established credibility with enterprise level senior executive teams.
Experience coaching within organizations.
Comprehensive understanding of information security concepts, best practices, and current threats to our digital way of life
