Position description:
As a national account manager, you will be responsible for promoting redwood multimodal’s transportation services and bringing on new clients.
Responsibilities:
Make sales calls to current and potential clients to promote redwood’s transportation services
Generate sales leads and keep crm portfolio organized in order to effectively report to sales manager as requested
Field calls from current or potential clients for new business opportunities
Complete rate proposals
Negotiate pricing for transactional sales
Request credit approval for new clients in accordance with standard procedures
Assist in collections or work with ar team, as needed, on past due invoices
Keep informed on industry trends, services, and competitor activities
Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales goals that will be transparently discussed and laid out for you from the start
Maintain daily client relationships to assigned accounts, acting as primary contact and re-directing to other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the logistics industry, ideally within a freight brokerage environment
Minimum 1 year experience in cold-calling/inside sales role preferred at freight brokerage or similar environment
Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and networking skills
Ability to drive results within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
