The engineering team is focused on building products that apply artificial intelligence to analyze, secure, and deliver critical data to deter threats and drive mission success for our defense and national security customersRebellion products are built to transform three critical national security challenges.

How can the dod/mod better analyze the vast streams of data they acquire?
How can the dod/mod better secure critical networks, systems, and data?
How can the dod/mod better share information across disparate systems to accelerate awareness and decision-making?
You at rebellion:
Rebellion values diverse team composition and an inclusive work environmentIt is not necessary that your resume checks every box, as long as you are willing to learn:
Have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience building impactful products or systems
Have extensive, hands-on experience with python and/or golang (or similar experience with c, c++, java, etc)
Experience building a large scale system such as:
A distributed system with large scaling requirements, e.gLow latency, millions of users, handles pb of data, etc.
Created or customized machine learning models and developed them into production systems that scale
Architected efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
Are willing to debug problems across the stack, such as networking issues, performance problems, or memory leaks
Have built the wrong system enough times to avoid the common pitfalls, whether building something personally or advising others
Are comfortable working on under-specified problems and are capable of rapidly learning and iterating on solutions
Are self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable sharing your expertise with others

We believe a service mindset is not tied to your geographyWe welcome remote work, we also have teams based out of our washington, dc and seattle offices.
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $145,000 to $255,000 regardless of final candidate location within the usThe final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equityBenefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with rebellion defense.

The nature of our work:
We are driving rapid change in an extremely regulated industryMany of the national security programs that are supported by rebellion’s products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them may require an active personnel security clearanceIt is a requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and hold a personnel security clearance at the right level.
