We are looking for a business development manager to join our us media intelligence sales team at nexis solutionsThis is a permanent, full-time position based in the usWe are offering a competitive salary and high ote potential, as well as great benefits and the chance to be part of our highly collaborative and innovative global business.
Principally, you will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans for prospective clients that include:
Identifying new revenue growth opportunities in the assigned territory;
Developing creative demand generation strategies aimed at positioning nexis solutions as the superior source in meeting the potential buyers’ information needs;
Managing all resources necessary to secure the business, (i.eTechnical and product support, tactical marketing, pricing, etc.);
Forecasting revenue, developing key contacts and business relationships with influential individuals and high-level decision makers, and;
Identifying competitive threats and developing effective countermeasures.
Sell the value of lexisnexis to pr, marketing and communications professionals within an assigned territory by articulating how our solutions meet their information needsThis will be accomplished through both self-generation and lead conversion activities
Develop an in-depth understanding of nexis solutions media intelligence products and competitive products to articulate the benefits and advantages of lexisnexis products, and handle customer concerns or objections
Accurately forecast new business month by month, providing three-month forecast at any time.
Develop new contacts either as decision makers or influencers.
Prepare a sales plan to displace competitive products within prospective client base.
Negotiation of commercially sound contracts for new customers.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with new customers through regular client meetings, responding to clients’ requests and feedback in a timely manner.
Attend ln-organized/sponsored customer events as required.
Conduct appropriate product demonstrations and client presentations.
Ensure customer experience in terms of quantity and quality of contact is in line with targets.
Prioritize opportunities, ensuring that maximum customer facing time is achieved
Effectively work alongside other stakeholder departments (marketing, product, customer success, segment teams) to ensure an integrated approach to customer care and to ensure market needs are being met.
Demonstrate complete knowledge of the features, advantages and benefits of lexisnexis media intelligence solutions, and be able to demonstrate them fully.
Timely production of regular and ad hoc sales reports, keeping up to date with market changes and developments, and new products.
Completion of customer activities and the updating of sales pipeline using the lexisnexis crm system
Specialist knowledge / skills required
Proven track record of working successfully in a business development role in a challenging and commercially driven b2b sales environment
Strong and proven negotiation skills
Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships
Applied knowledge of best practice sales techniques, including negotiation, presentation skills and general communication
Employs a client centric, profit driven approach
Able to absorb and retain a large amount of product, system and market information
Experience selling to pr, communications and marketing professional a plus but not required
Sales ability and persuasiveness

Flexibility and experience to work across a variety of sectors
