Your impact
The applications engineer will select and use qualitrol products to satisfy customer application requirementsThey will focus on presales and post sales technical support, sales and product management support, preparation of technical support documents, and customer training.
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:
Provide technical assistance to customers, for product questions and problems, from the point of quotation request through post shipment and installation.
Provide insight to the commercial team in terms of technical responses and guidance on quotations.
Research and initiate product solutions including new product models, derivatives, and customized products, to meet customer needs.
Take a proactive and responsive approach to customer service.
Management of small and medium customer maintenance contracts and report monthly technical support activity related to key maintenance contracts
Provide internal and external training on qualitrol products
Contribute to product feature enhancements and process improvements.
Manage issues using sales force and document all product selection and product specification choices.
Supports r&d engineering in translating customer`s needs into a manufacturable product
Assist in prequalification process with new customers, (presentations, testing etc.)
Skills & experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Bs degree in electrical or software engineering or equivalent.
Extensive experience in technical applications engineering, field service engineering, or product management.
Strong customer service orientation.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred skills:
Understanding of power systems
Knowledge in telecom techniques for remote device monitoring: tcp/ip, modem protocols, serial links etc.
Sql database maintenance
Understanding of communications protocols, iec61850, modbus
Hands-on experience of wireshark
