Work/interact within a project team (hardware, software, asic, etc.) and develop board and system documentation
Work with component vendors and the project team to accomplish component selection
Schematic capture and board layout
Design board/system per requirements, work with the team during design and testing
Develop/document board/system hardware test plan working with team members
Contribute to board/system bring-up and system integration efforts
Develop test scripts as required in the project to help with testing
Work with manufacturing through to successful production / customer shipments
Minimum qualifications:
Bs in electrical engineering or related field
2-3 years` experience designing high-speed and high-powered electrical hardware
Strong knowledge related to signal integrity, power distribution networks, and digital design
Excellent technical knowledge & design/working experience with pcie, ddr4/5 dram, ethernet, serdes, i2c/spi/mdio
Experience in using lab/debug tools (e.g., logic analyzer, pcie &/or i2c analyzer, high-speed oscilloscopes, etc.)
Dc-dc power supply design
Preferred qualifications
Ms in electrical engineering or related field
5+ years` experience in hardware board design
Multi-phase buck regulator design, analysis, and validation
Setting up ddr constraints in schematic or layout
Good knowledge related to processor - memory architectures/designs
Working knowledge/experience with linux scripting (bash, python, perl, tcl, c/c++ etc.)
Experience with orcad or concept schematic capture
Physical requirements
Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
