Qrc technologies is actively seeking a mechanical engineerThe mechanical engineer will have opportunities to help build and design the next generation of qrc`s software defined radio productsYou will experience the triumphs and challenges of working on a fast-paced product teamYou will collaborate within teams of engineers and others in a lab setting to review or create requirements intended to meet customer needs, design parts and assemblies in solidworks and create drawings to document them; identify components; assemble prototypes or test stacks; test components; prepare supporting documentation and troubleshoot or remedy system malfunctionsYou will conduct analysis of designs to ensure conformity to thermal, shock, vibration, environmental and other requirementsYou will use 3d printers, cad applications such as solidworks, basic machine and hand toolsYou will use a variety of software applications to collaborate with the teams.
Requirements:
Expertise with computer aided design applications, specifically solidworks, materials science, basic machine/hand tools and techniques, as well as lab safety.
Expertise with manufacturing processes that may be used to create our products; machining, sheet metal, 3d printing; thermal propagation and design techniques, engineering design standards such as sae, ansi, etcAnd mil-std-810h environmental and transportability requirements.
Expertise with creating technical engineering and manufacturing documents such as process descriptions and procedure manuals, technical drawings and other technical documents.
Expertise with electronics packaging, preferably with products intended for military applications.
Able to use and design for creation on 3d printers and cnc machines.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a small teamFamiliarity with agile processes a plus.
Frequently moves products and test equipment weighing up to 50lbs across the labs for varying test needs
Proficient is use of microsoft office
Bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical design
Due to federal industrial security requirements proof of us citizenship is required
