Reports to: general manager & executive director
Payroll status: exempt
Location: hybrid | remote and our office located in duluth, mn.
Hours: full time
Points north, the leading software company in the compliance and reporting space, is seeking a rainmaker to join its growing sales teamThis dynamic role of software sales specialist will be accountable for growing sales across the united states in focused niche markets, primarily through channel partnersThis dynamic sales leader will make things happen from day 1This role will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth and achieving/exceeding company sales goalsThis individual will have documented, proven sales experience that exceeded expectations, strong problem-solving skills, and dynamic people skillsThe ideal candidate will be driven by closing deals daily, a hunger for a never-ending flow of new leads, and experience in understanding how to sell software as a serviceThe right candidate will be able to demonstrate how their past success will transfer to points north and how they will thrive in a growing, agile, and fast-paced company.
Create and command a strong pipeline of leads and be able to successfully convert leads to sales on a consistent basis.
Articulately consult and sell to stakeholders in small, mid, and large segment companies, including the c-suite (cio, cfo, president).
Accurately provide sales forecasts to management based on a data-driven understanding of where prospects are in the sales cycle.
Help a prospect understand their overall need for a software solution and deliver that value-based solution.
Tailor their sales approach throughout the day to account for differences in sales cycles, software capabilities, client profiles, and product differences.
Manage time and resources effectively to accomplish monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by planning for and scheduling all required sales activities.
Collaborate with colleagues daily to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
Maintain high standard relationships with internal stakeholders and external channel partners built through trust.
Listen and exhibit patience when encountering challenges and problems with complex prospect requirements.
Understand root cause analysis and how to utilize 5 why’s and/or fishbone tools to problem solve and create solutions.
Required education and experience
Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum of 3-5 years of b2b and/or software sales experience with documented sales achievement of quota.
Sales success within the software as a service (saas) industry.
Experience selling through referral partners.
Experience in selling enterprise level organizations.
Formalized sales training (e.gChallenger sales).
Ability to work independently with a minimum amount of oversight.
Strong work ethic and passion for excellence.
Advanced communication, interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skills
Able to balance multiple projects and prioritize potentially competing needs.
Detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple top priorities.
Ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed organization.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Excellent facilitation skills and ability to influence collaboration, but not necessarily consensus.
Expertise in construction industry software and technology.
