Full job description
As a director of sales, north america, you will be reporting directly to the svp of global salesYou will be responsible for leading enterprise sales revenue within the commercial segment primarily in the us and canada.
In a given day you might:
Drive your team to successfully achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas through proven leadership, strong business acumen, problem-solving and consultative selling skills.
Hire, train, motivate and retain your sales team, including providing regular coaching and mentoring for personal development and professional advancement.
Establish and monitor kpis that align to your team’s business plan around pipeline generation and delivering predictable revenue.
Manage a repeatable sales process that is focused on discovery, qualification and solution mapping.
Develop and refine tools for monitoring and providing regular reporting on success and performance improvement.
Coordinate with other departments on technical, business and deployment issues
Leverage salesforce.com to track and report team forecasts, sales activities, pipeline management to accurately forecast and grow sales.
5+ years of sales leadership experience within the enterprise.
Experience managing a team of 6 or more direct reports.
Proven success in “hunting” new logo acquisition
Experience helping a team sell a complex enterprise platform and navigating through multiple buyers across organizations.
Experience scaling sales revenues within an iaas, paas or saas environment.
Proven leadership qualities, including selecting and developing staff, communicating a vision and inspiring teams.
Good judgment and business acumen with a keen ability to assess people, processes and products.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and problem resolution skills.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to interact and partner with all levels of management.
Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Specialized skills and knowledge: experience in the sale of managed services, hosting, cloud or paas solutions.
Experience with meddpicc, sandler selling, spin selling, or solution selling a plus.
