Full job description
Piper companies is seeking a remote srDevops engineer to join a technology company specialized in internet-related security and connectivityThe srDevops engineer will concentrate on aws infrastructure management and be responsible for production support and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities of srDevops engineer include:
Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
Handle production support, troubleshooting, and on-call responsibilities
Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
Qualifications for the srDevops engineer include:
Experience with cloud and data center system administration in linux
Extensive experience with aws infrastructure management and automation using ec2, lambda, rds, dynamo, etc.
Familiar with hardware and hypervisor management preferred
Understanding of infrastructure as code and ci/cd automation using terraform, ansible, and puppet
Scripting using python, ruby, or bash
Experience configuring monitoring and alerting (cloudwatch, sensu, nagios, monit, pagerduty)
Compensation for the srDevops engineer include:
Salary range: $155,000 – $170,000 **depending on seniority**
