Picnic is growing and we want you to join our mission to keep people and enterprises safeWe are adding the first ui/ux designer to our teamYour goal will be to create user interfaces that make complex cybersecurity concepts digestible and intricate workflows intuitiveYou will work closely with product managers and our engineering team to turn the vision for our software into an elegant user experiencePrimary responsibilities will be to build out the design system for our core enterprise saas platform, turn wireframes to mockups, improve the ux of existing features, and build out our internal ui/ux program.

What you will do in the ui/ux designer role:
Work with the product team to turn wireframes into fully-specified mockups ready for the engineering team to implement.
Maintain consistent design standards while making updates and additions to our design system.
Be responsible for the creation and communication of ui/ux design team processes and goals.
Help refine picnic’s information architecture and data taxonomies to increase user understanding/engagement.
Improve prototypes and deliverables by spearheading internal design critiques and feedback sessions.
Coordinate customer ux research and participate in usability interviews to gather feedback and insights in order to refine designs and prototypes to solve the users needs.
Contribute to the continued improvement of picnic’s website.
Qualifications and attributes that will help you succeed in the role:
Experience in enterprise saas and agile (required).
Strong individual contributor with bias towards regular, transparent communications.
Test and learn mindset that emphasizes quick designs at different levels of fidelity to iterate rapidly and receive insights early.
Comfortable working within and building on an existing design framework to begin with while you learn about the business and crystalize your thoughts on future state.
Experience building prototypes as a means to communicate design solutions to product managers and engineering teams.
A growth mindset and comfort in regularly delivering and receiving peer feedback and critiques.
Attention to detail and the ability to use data-driven insights to influence design decisions in order to craft enjoyable user experiences.
Experience building solutions that leverage analytical outputs to drive automated workflows and remediations.
Experience in cybersecurity, risk, and/or intelligence.
