The bdae for connectivity with emphasis on test and measurement solutions will provide technical, hands-on expertise to support new business opportunities for medium- and low-voltage industrial test and measurement connectivity products including fast and modular energy (fame) test switches and related customer-specific solutionsThe bdae on test & measurement will collaborate with regional sales manager, field sales engineers, vertical market personnel and channel partners to develop customer relationships within key industry segmentsThe bdae will apply a consultative approach with customers and prospective buyers to support connectivity requirements, increase test switch market share and expand the brand.
Deliver professional customer presentations to create awareness, generate interest, and cultivate customer desire for the industrial connectivity product portfolio with emphasis on test and measurement product solutions.
Demonstrate competence in phoenix contact manufacturing capabilities for customer-specific solutions and value-added services.
Participate in joint or independent customer visits and take lead role in product specification; communicate with customers to learn design cycle and be involved in early stages of new product planning.
Build collaborative relationships with sales manager, sales engineers, vertical market personnel and channel representatives.
Identify and explore new market opportunities for connectivity not currently in focus for regional sales teams.
Develop and maintain a high level of market knowledge, i.e., market pricing, competitor offerings, channel and sales strategies.
Document all customer visits in pivotal crm; demonstrate ability to analyze crm report data to create effective customer sales call planning and territory management.
Provide technical product/application training as needed by regional sales and vertical marketing teams.
Participate in product training events (internal) and industry trade shows (external) as necessary.
Provide monthly report and competitor updates to pmm and regional sales manager.
Participate in implementation of marketing plans, programs, and focused sales initiatives.
Effectively communicate opportunities and issues to the pmm, regional sales manager, and sales engineers.
Provide recommendation to pmm and regional sales manager for distributor stocking plans/contracts to support new conversion customer wins.
Participate in quarterly update with pmm and regional sales manager to review tactical plans for open opportunity conversion, highlight deliverables and timelinesProvide insight on channel or competitor position that could inhibit success.
Demonstrate integrity with an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for mistakes while not blaming others, and by doing what he / she commits to doing.
Demonstrate competence in r3/base skills to address customer needs, convert competitive opportunities and drive maximum results for phoenix contact.
Bachelor`s degree strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical discipline.
Fundamental understanding of connectivity, connector design, and mechanical technology including test and measurement of instrument transducers (such as current and potential transformers) and other medium- and low-voltage test equipment.
Prefer five years previous sales or marketing experience within electric power and utility, renewable energy, process engineering, hyperscale computing, or industrial manufacturing.
Prefer two years previous sales or marketing experience with medium- and low-voltage switching products and subassemblies.
Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
Competence with microsoft office: excel, word and powerpoint.

Essential job functions:
Travel required, more than 50% to be expected in territory.
