Position summary:

We are looking for a versatile user experience designer who is fluent in information architecture, interaction, and visual designIn this role you will own defining the experience for new products, improving the experience for existing products and will work collaboratively with other designers, product managers, engineers, and data strategists throughout the lifecycle of the projectWe see design as beginning with the conception of the product and iterating throughout the release cycle, not a veneer to be applied at the end.

Essential job functions:
Responsible for all stages of ux designMust think strategically while executing with great attention to detail.
Plan and conduct user research to uncover customer needs that result in actionable recommendations, and drive user-centric design solutions.
Lead collaborative workshops, that may involve leadership, product management, engineering and other colleagues across our organization, to help understand and capture business challenges and opportunities.
Demonstrate design expertise by producing key deliverables such as application workflows, prototypes and design specifications that articulate proposed functionality to product leadership and engineering.
Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure that design solutions are implemented as intended, or iterated upon, through production and continuous improvement cycles.
Cultivate an understanding of our customers’ needs, experiences, behaviors and goals through the creation and maintenance of nuanced persona models, user journeys and other ux discovery documentation.
Help to own and inform supportive processes that integrate product design into the product development process.
Advocate for users and for user-centric design thinking within interdisciplinary project teams.
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a user experience professional.
Experience designing ios, android and web applications within complex business domains.
Demonstrable experience designing rich interactions for desktop, web, hand-held form factors.
Foundational education in hci, graphic/industrial/interaction design, or related degree.
Strong communication skills and an ability to present design options clearly, and to discuss and negotiate tradeoffs while maintaining advocacy for our users.
Must have the ability to successfully collaborate with other designers, product managers, and tech engineers to develop innovative, user-friendly, products as well as provide solutions for critical areas within the user-flow.
Must have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent visual design skills, great technical know-how, and proven expertise in designing for the web/digital experiences.
Solid familiarity with agile scrum methodology; ability to plan and manage design work for 2-3 large-scale projects simultaneously.
Experience creating or working extensively with design systems, such as material design or ios hig, as a producer and/or consumer will be an advantage.
Up-to-date expertise with design and prototyping tools; sketch, abstract, invision, adobe creative suite, figma, framer etc.
