We are looking for an accomplished sales leader to guide the next phase of peek’s rapid growthWe need a strategic thinker, talented motivator, and someone who excels at “rolling up their sleeves and getting things done” in a dynamic fast-growth environmentThis individual will lead a ~50 person sales team that will grow substantially over the next 18 months, selling our peek professional saas platform (www.peekpro.com), the leading software/hardware operating system for the $200bn+ experiences, tours and attractions industryWe have demonstrated product/market fit with compelling unit economics, and now need an experienced executive to help us scale our sales organization and take the team’s performance to the next levelThis role will report to the evp of sales, with responsibility over the sales strategy, execution and recruiting/team management for our mid-market, smb and bdr teamsIf you get excited about building “shopify for experiences,” then come join us on our rocketship journey
Responsibilities: sales strategy, systems, training and processes
Refine, optimize and execute the sales strategy to exceed revenue targets for our “peek pro” saas product, including the go-to-market plan and end-to-end sales process from lead gen to implementation
Cultivate and maintain our winning culture through clear performance expectations and driving the right behaviors through clear direction, transparency, proactive communication and empathy
Serve as the operational field marshall for sales at peek by focusing on improving sales discipline, institutionalizing use of best practice sales methodologies and executing against growth forecasts
Oversee the responsibilities, key initiatives and professional growth of our mid-market, smb and bdr sales management teams
Create, improve upon and audit sales processes and support resources (e.g., tip cards, talk tracks, faqs) through formal sales enablement programs and management coaching
Responsibilities: operational planning
Oversee the management of daily and weekly ae and bdr activities, pipeline analysis and forecasting efforts to ensure predictable top-line growth trajectory that is in line with company goals
Work closely with evp of sales, finance and operations teams to develop key operating assumptions & growth plans for the business
Collaborate with strategy and product leaders to identify and prioritize new revenue growth opportunities, and design go to market playbooks to effectively capitalize on them
Responsibilities: sales productivity and effectiveness
Design and execute new strategies for improving sales rep performance, both in volume (# of deals) and quality (size and value of deals)
Collaborate with marketing to standardize and up-level our sales positioning and presentation approach/materials, shepherd complex sales negotiations, assist with proposal creation, and help drive pipeline growth
Consistently iterate and improve upon key sales metrics reporting for the organization in conjunction with head of sales operations
Partner with enterprise sales leadership to facilitate cross-team best practice sharing and maintain clearly defined rules of engagement
Optimize lead gen practices and collaborate with sales operations on territory planning
Responsibilities: recruiting & retention
Scale up and maintain a best-in-class sales team through excellent recruiting, training, motivation and professional development, all during a period of rapid team growth
Collaborate with sales finance to design compensation and incentive programs that engage and motivate the sales team while driving continual improvements in productivity
10+ years of sales management experience, preferably in scaling a metrics-driven saas sales team at a rapidly growing technology company in a highly competitive market
3+ years in a vp of sales capacity: managing managers and managers-of-managers (will consider director of sales experience at very large sales organizations)
Wide breadth of experience working with the full spectrum of sales talent: from entry-level bdrs to veteran account executives
Experience with a multi-channel team selling saas tools to both smb and mid-market merchants
Ability to share vision in a compelling fashion, understand and define requirements, design practical solutions, develop supporting business cases and implement solutions for prospects and partners
Significant experience working with sales operations (forecasting, planning, analysis, sales systems, reporting, compensation and quota management)
Strong grasp of cutting-edge sales technologies
