Parsons is now hiring 2 senior schedulers for new york cityIf you are savvy with p6, and have a background in scheduling and planning processes for major electrical transmission and distribution improvement plans, this is the job for you! our folks are working remotely thru july 2021 and possibly beyondThis is a 3-5 year opportunity or longer.
We need our srSchedulers/managers at this level to be fully qualified professionals with solid experience, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skillsIn this role, you must be able to provide scheduling support on various capital improvement projects, including distribution and transmission projectsThe scheduler, in coordination with project manager develop project schedule and cash flow/forecast plans with functional department input, attend project and job kickoff and walk down meetings, and create, maintain and update schedulesYou will be expected to develop, maintain and control project schedule plans using appropriate software (for ex: oracle, primavera p6, and ms project).
Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.
Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
Reports status of schedule to appropriate project and company management as well to the client.
Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
Accumulates historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
May supervise and provide performance reviews for one or more lower-level project control engineer/specialists and/or support personnel.
Provides input to srProject control staff regarding staffing requirements.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in engineering or construction management or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of related work experience in scheduling/planning functions , including portfolio planning and asset management.
Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
Proficient pc skills including proficiency in various project controls software and microsoft office suite.
Expertise with p6 is required
This position pays a minimum annual salary of $92,200.00 and a maximum annual salary of $161,400.00.
