Full job description
The par government team is looking for a web developer who has a passion for building applications that enable first responders, dod personnel, and other civil servants to stay safe and out of harm’s wayOur development team helps power the tak (https://www.tak.gov) ecosystem and in this role, you will be working closely with the original team that started it allWe are not looking to build web applications that get deployed to back-office stack, we are looking to build innovative solutions that will shape how tactical end users communicate with one another in the fieldInnovation at par is what helped start tak in the early days and innovation will be the key ingredient for building out next generation capabilitiesAs part of this team, you will help define the front-end technology stack and put your ui/ux skills to the test.
Responsibilities and duties:
Work directly with the chief architect and the director for c-suas to build next generation capabilities that are based off of the team awareness kit (tak).
Provide web ui/ux support across multiple programs and portfolios inside of par government.
Work strategic initiatives inside of par government to help grow the scope and scale of our software portfolio.
Educate the technical team on best practices for front end frameworks.
Research new web development frameworks and paradigms (e.g., webassembly).
Define requirements for par government’s enterprise developers to ensure newly developed web applications are robust and secure.
Interact with customers and stakeholders to help capture and define requirements for new development initiatives.
Be ready to learn new things and take challenges head on!
Required skills
Must have or can obtain a secret level security clearance.
2-4 years of javascript development
2-4 years of cascading style sheet (css) or css framework development
Required experience
Experience with ui/ux concepts
Experience building production ready javascript web applications for the browser
Ability to work and research new concepts independently
Efficient in photoshop or photo editing software to help create or modify images
Experience building and developing browser-based video games
Experience with webgl
Dod industry familiarity or tak familiarity
Experience with tactical data links
Experience with .net blazor development
Familiarity with build tools such as emscripten or familiarity with llvm/clang
