What you’ll do
Perform autocad/revit system engineering
Design and plan fire protection system design and layouts under the direction of a lead engineer
Determine fire protection and plumbing system requirements for various building types
Utilize thorough understanding of mechanical distribution, hvac, plumbing, fire protection and energy modeling
Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
Understand and able to read plans and specifications, develop the skills to edit/write specifications
Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
Application of building codes, industry standards and fire protection principals
Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection based on calculated load requirements
Interact with clients and other project team members
Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
Implement the project quality management plan (qmp)
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering for discipline work
Requires a minimum of 1-2 years mechanical m-1, fire protection p-1 or equivalent experience
Engineer in training (eit) preferred
Knowledge of mechanical systems and engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate to others
Knowledge of all project phases
Problem solving and analysis
General understanding of nfpa standards
Delegation skills
Organization and attention to detail
Microsoft office suite
Autocad/revit
United states-based and can work within a pacific standard time zone schedule
