Looking for a self-motivated, innovated individual to join a team of mainframe systems programmers maintaining and supporting critical infrastructure software on the mainframe platform running a multi-sysplex configurationThe ideal candidate will be performing advanced technical support for primarily the mainframe platform; installing, configuring & testing mainframe vendor software; and performing project tasks to enhance & modernize the mainframe platformYou will have direct interaction with multiple areas within it and be responsible for keeping up-to-date with latest technologies as it relates to the mainframe platform and its interaction with distributed platforms and webservicesThe right candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment, ability to mentor junior staff, multitask important project deliverables and communicate effectively.
As an infrastructure engineer you will be required to install, configure, test & deploy mainframe system software components across multiple sysplexes; provide technical support to mis & end users and coach junior staffIn addition, this position will require general platform support – including troubleshooting, issue resolution and on-call duties.

The ideal candidate will have systems programming experience installing, configuring and supporting the z/os platform software:
Using z/os, smp/e and mainframe jcl, system utilities, microsoft excel
Programming experience in one or more of the following languages – rexx, clist, sas, cobol, focus, easytrieve, asm
Knowledge to support one of more of the following – ca-7, ca-endevor, ca-opsmvs, xpt/r, sas
Working knowledge of syncsort, ispf, ispf dialogs, rexx, fileaid, ca-acf2, df/dss, idcams, unix system services
Familiarity with tcp/ip, ndm, securing ports, vsam, user exists, sharepoint, jira, topaz, service now; rdz, ispw
Experience with project planning, mainframe security, disaster recovery and business continuity
