Pcd group (http://pcdgroup.com/), a digital agency in portland, or is looking for a perl web developer to join our team.
The perl web developer is responsible for writing code from scratch, using frameworks from existing code-bases, as well as updating legacy applicationsWe are looking for someone whose interests lies in both the ability to use front-end skills, while also working in back-end languages for client facing websites and web applications for fortune 500 /1000 clients in the financial service industry.
Ideal candidates will have the following experience:
5+ years professional web development experience working in an agency or corporate environment
Database and middle-tier solutions that include end-to-end application development
Working as part of an integrated team on legacy applications, with an ability to learn and adapt to established code, and integrate new features and functions
Estimating skills for programming tasks with relative accuracy, ability to work within project schedules and communicate progress of daily status to project managers
High attention to detail and sound practices in qa
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Financial services or highly regulated industry experience is a plus
Ideal candidates will have the following development skills:
Cross-browser and cross-platform front end web development including html, javascript (jquery) and css (preferably sass)
Strong/exceptional perl skills
Exceptional database and sql knowledge, especially oracle
Mojolicious familiarity
Strong ability to match design comps and style specifications
Must be able to code cutting-edge javascript without reliance on third party libraries
Json/ajax
Js linting
Templating with mustache or handlebars
Node / npm
Gulp
Scaffolding systems such as bootstrap
Understanding how to code for ada compliance guidelines
Linux
Git and subversion version control
Mvc design experience
Position details:
Remote, but pacific northwest preferred
Full-time
