About the roleThe Process Design Engineer works with multiple departments and team members to improve operational processes using lean six sigma and other improvement concepts. As a continuous improvement engineer, your job responsibilities include collecting production data, analyzing outputs, and determining corrective courses of action to promote quality, scalability, repeatability, and efficiency.
You will use a variety of process improvement tactics, including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, and Kaizen facilitation. Your job is to collect data and analyze current operating procedures to determine which continuous improvement process technique is the best for our situation and prioritize based on Oscar's strategic-wide plans.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Product Implementation.
This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $96,000 - $126,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $86,400 - $113,400 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities- Document, map and analyze current-state processes and identify ways to reduce waste, improve workflows, and otherwise increase efficiency and map for future-state for observed processes
- Validate and track if the department action plan adequately addresses the situation and have successful results
- Review objective compared to actual results and facilitate lessons learned
- Capture, organize, and analyze production data for prioritization of process improvement projects- time studies/takt identification
- Perform root cause analysis and determine or escalate best options for process improvement tactics
- Promote efficiency though ongoing analysis of outputs to achieve Business Process Excellence
- Use multiple methodologies to solve several technical and people processes
- 3+ years of experience in a process engineering, continuous improvement, lean six sigma, operational excellence or equivalent role
- Experience identifying systemic issues in both software and people systems
- 3+ years experience in health care
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher
- Process Mapping Software such as Visio or Figma
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Lookr, Periscope, Power BI
- Transactional languages such as SQL

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
