We have an opening for a spacecraft harness engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individualsThis position is in leesburg, va, but remote work is a possibilityIn this role you will support the development of total spacecraft harness productResponsibilities include the detailed harness design, including flight part selection, creation of wire harness drawings and schematics, documentation of cable harnesses, and working with cad personnel for harness assembly and modeling developmentA typical day in this role includes interacting with engineering team members to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total harness subsystem solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsYou should have experience supporting the development of detailed spacecraft harness design, collaborating and working in a team environment, as well as working in a self-sufficient independent manner.
Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total spacecraft harness design. Support development of total harness product to include: concept, detailed design, fabrication and test support, installation support, and support of programmatic activities. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total harness subsystem solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Bachelor's degree (or better) in electrical engineering 5+ years of electrical engineering experience Hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and/or testing wiring harnesses for space applications Familiar with harness related military (mil-std) and nasa specifications Experience in developing/maintaining requirements and technical documentation Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment U.sCitizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
Experience designing/routing harness cables using creo schematic and creo parametric Able to prioritize, execute and delegate tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Existing dod clearance
