The opportunity
Opencounter is looking for an experienced full-stack developer with demonstrable skills in building applications for the modern webYour primary focus will be on end-to-end feature development of new and existing products as we expand our government permitting and licensing platform.
You will coordinate with the rest of the team on features, issues, infrastructure and enhancementsA commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
The challenge
What you’ll do:
Create: feature development of new and existing products
Problem-solve: investigation and resolution of reported issues
Build: contribute to the evolution of the platform through strong architectural design
Improve: develop standards, tools, processes, libraries, and frameworks that facilitate the development of reliable, secure, performant, and consistent services
Grow: identify and resolve issues related to scalability and performance
The right fit
Who you are: required:
Strong proficiency in modern javascript and at least one other language
5+ years experience building end-to-end features
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have:
Ruby on rails experience
Experience with highly configurable eav (entity attribute value) systems
Language design experience
Devops and operations experience
Gis / postgis experience
Location: opencounter is headquartered in boston, but we are a remote-first and distributed teamOur development team has been fully remote since 2012 – work from anywhere in the us and canada!
