Octonic (octonicvr.com), new york-based xr company, is looking for a talented designer with experience in ui/ux design, graphic design, and web designWe are the creators of a vr motion engine that transforms fitness treadmills into immersive vr adventures.
This will be an hourly-paid position at $25-$35 per hour, depending on experiencePlease be prepared to share your portfolio as part of the interview processThis is a remote position to start, but preference will be given to candidates in the nyc-area.
Responsibilities
Build wireframes that translate into intuitive user interfaces
Create detailed interaction designs, ui/screen flows for vr game navigation
Test designs to ensure ease-of-use and value delivery for customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus on product experience
Gather and distill insights from customers to guide improvements and changes to designs
Understand and keep track of evolving trends and standards of designs in spatial computing
Design websites that display effectively across desktop and mobile
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in digital design, graphic design, human-computer interaction (hci) or related fields.
Experience in ui-ux design experience for digital products or servicesExperience with vr technology products is a plus.
Experience with designing user-centric, simple, and engaging interfaces with the latest ui and ux design practices.
Ability to create a wide range of assets, including logos, banner ads, promotional artwork, and interactive elements
Experience with adobe creative suite (important), illustrator (important), sketch, figma, invision, visio, blender, principle, html, css (scss), android
A portfolio of ui/ux related projects must be a part of your application
Nice to have
Experience with game design
Experience creating short videos
Knowledge of unity
Passion for vr gaming
