Northrop grumman mission systems is seeking a manager 2, material requirements planning (mrp) for our manufacturing organization.
The manager 2, material requirements planning will be the mrp demand-side planning manager for the material requirements planning (mrp) department, reporting to the manager, bwi mrp and engineering support.
We are currently seeking an individual to manage professional and union represented employees responsible for the following high-level tasks:
Analyzing and processing master production schedule requirements
Guidance of mrp plan maintenance to ensure integrity and reflect executable plans
Maintenance of lead time planning initiatives within baltimore manufacturing cells
Review and release of material purchase requisitions
Incorporation of engineering change notices into manufacturing and order bills of materials
The manager 2, material requirements planning will be expected to:
Develop collaborative relationships with functional stakeholders including - operations project managers, global supply chain, program management, manufacturing, and mission assurance - to achieve scheduling culture change and ensure schedule compliance to government requirements;
Work with cross-functional representatives to sustain lead time planning within baltimore manufacturing cells;
Manage employees to existing metrics, and where needed, identify and implement new metrics;
Work with mrp master planners and analysts to resolve master schedules and production problems;
Constructively contribute to and/or identify future mrp initiatives at bwi;
Participate and actively contribute to the mrp community of practice;
Resolve workload conflicts, make staffing decisions, and participate in departmental leadership discussions;
Support bwi manufacturing scheduling initiatives;
Communicate relevant information both up and down the functional organization;
Foster innovation and implement continuous process improvement;
Cultivate an environment where employees will stay engaged;
Support 1erp and mplm system rollouts;
Obtain the apics cpim or cscp certification
This position is eligible to be a hybrid/remote positionIt is required that you be onsite around 25% of the time.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with a master’s degree)
Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment
Experience with leading projects or people
Familiarity with sap or similar and mrp fundamentals
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or other technical or business related field
Apics cpim or cscp certification
Previous experience with manufacturing, supply chain, and/or operations project manager functions
Previous experience with continuous improvement projects and teams
Intermediate ms excel / data analysis skills

Salary range: $102,900 usd - $154,300 usd
