About this job: at nielsen, we bring together big data and technology to provide our media clients with insights into consumers’ viewing behaviorAs a senior software engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and standardizing nielsen technology software applications and watermarking software development kit for the broadcast industry, television, radio, streaming and live.

Qualifications you should have at least 3-5 years of experience building and deploying production software.
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent degree
3-5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including planning,
Analyzing, designing, coding, test, implementation, deployment, and production support of new and existing modules
Work on extensions of existing products
Work closely with other engineers to develop new products
Self-motivated to understand the problems required to solve and decision-making skills
Good communication and collaborative skills
Suggest and implement improvements on current products
Software development lifecycle experience
Coordination with other developers for cross-functional requirements implementation
And tests
Required technical skills
Deep understanding of software engineering concepts: data structures, design
Patterns, object-oriented design, and algorithms.
Expert understanding of c, c++, python and shell scripting for linux and windows
Intermediate knowledge of rest apis.
Intermediate knowledge of distributed systems, queues, system resilience.
Strong knowledge of coding practices, debugging skills
Experience with unit testing, test driven development, and behavior-driven
Development as well as end-to-end ui testing and user experience methodologies
Experience with git, github and jira and continuous integration (jenkins or gitlab)
