Full job description
We are seeking a skilled systems engineer who works independently to perform a variety of technical support responsibilities, requiring a thorough working knowledge of information technology and infrastructure administration.

Essential duties and responsibilities: *
Provide tier i and ii consultative client support
Implement the nexustek best practices across customer base.
Regularly assess alignment of customer networks with standardsContinuously work towards getting customers in line with standards.
Accountable for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and billable/utilization hours.
Work closely with project engineering, client services team, management team, and 3rd party vendors to resolve client’s technology issues.
Respond and perform timely and accurate scheduled maintenance and service tasks as defined for individual clients.
Ability to resolve technical issues including, but not limited to, microsoft operating systems, windows server (2008/2012/2016/2019), workstation/server hardware, peripheral devices including printers, scanners, etc., networking including routers, switches, firewalls, cloud and virtualization-based technologies, and common client/server applications.
On-call responsibilities

Knowledge/experience: *
At least five years of experience resolving technical problems and troubleshooting in a client-server environment.
Strong working knowledge of the following:
Microsoft windows server (2008/2012/2016/2019)
Microsoft exchange 2010/2013/2016/2019
Microsoft hyper-v (2012r2-2019)
Microsoft rds (2008r2-2019)
Vmware esxi 5.5-6.7
Veeam backup & replication
Citrix virtual apps and desktop (xenapp and xendesktop)
Networking technologies basic switching, firewall and wireless configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity with cloud technologies like office 365 and azure.
Familiarity with msp applications like connectwise, labtech, and it glue desirable.

Qualifications: *
The candidate must possess a relevant combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems or related technical field preferred
Mcse (microsoft certified solutions expert) or other industry certification preferred.
