It`s fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing! neogen is seeking a territory manager that can develop sales strategies and attract new clientsThe successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotasThe successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and servicesThey will continuously create and maintain strong business relationships with key influencers in the marketAs an outside sales representative, or sales agent, they will also research and understand the market competitionThis region will cover mainly texas, nebraska, as well as some states on the west coastThe ideal candidate will be located in one of the states listedEssential duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned.
Independently manage and grow business within a set geography
Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking face-to-face and virtually with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future
Understand and comply with established guidelines that ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Coordinates company staff to provide exemplary service to customers
Make technical presentations, and facilitate webinars, face-to-face and virtual meetings
Preparing responses to rfp (request for proposals) and rfi (request for information)
Field travel to customer sites, and attend trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Maintain records and awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed
Working knowledge of price calculations
Maintain knowledge of industry, company and competitors; report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies routinely
Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Strong presentation skills and professional appearance
Strong organizational skills
Valid driver‘s license
Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
Microsoft office proficiency required, especially in excel, powerpoint, and outlook.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 70% of the time visiting current and potential clients.
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
