Estimating department has 4 different levels (coordinator, associate, executive, srExecutive)This department works alongside account management & marketing/advertising consultants in the sales departmentEach estimator prepares cost estimates by reviewing plans and preparing proposals.
Duties & responsibilities:
Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotes, schematic drawings, and specifications.
Advice on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, designers, and architects.
Liaise with contractors, owners, designers, and architects regarding new projects.
Update and maintain crm regarding new, ongoing, or archived projects.
Present and properly prepare the rest of the team for awarded projects.
Education, certifications, licenses:
Business, architecture, engineering, or equivalent, bachelor`s degree, preferred.
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
Detail oriented; effective time management, self-motivated and goal-oriented.
Microsoft office 365 is mandatory.
Professional social media presence.
Work environment/physical demands
Able to work remotely with access to wifi.
Able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
Able to walk projects/construction sites (comfortable around loud noises, chemicals, stairwells, dark spaces, etc.).
