Critical outcomes from the role
Deliver gross sales, net sales and trade spend:
Developing customer relationships in regional market to penetrate buyer, category and marketing teams within each account for long-term collaborative relationship with nature’s path.
Manage monthly, quarterly, bi-annual meetings with each customer to review the state of the business, present new items, conduct line reviews and customized promotional calendars for each account.
Developing a business plan and sales strategy for a specific regional market to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives.
Providing excellent merchandising and category recommendations to support sales growth.
Creating customized promotional budgets and activation plans for the region accounts.
Own the internal forecasting and trade management system to identify actual versus plan.
Proactively identify opportunities and gaps with solutions.
Deliver focused goals for broker team (where applicable):
Setting promotional planners and goals for each of the assigned distributors.
Setting sales and spend goals for each broker network.
Reviewing these goals monthly and identifying opportunities and gap-fill solutions.
Facilitating and ensuring broker responsibilities are understood, performance measurement objectives are identified, reviewed and monitored on an ongoing basis in order to provide feedback on accomplishments and immediate action is taken to remedy shortfalls.

Qualifications and experience
Education
College degree in a related discipline is preferred, or other job-related or equivalent business experience.
Experience
At least 2-5 years experience in sales in the grocery channel (natural and conventional).
Experience managing brokers, as well as distributors.
Proven track record in a retail environment.
Understanding of spins data with the ability to draw out insights, actions and recommendations.
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Demonstrated ability working with key software applications, such as microsoft excel, powerpoint and word.
Ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner, convey information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
