Job summary:
The newly established account manager, laboratory role within nms labs will play a key role in the delivery of clinical esoteric toxicology testing services within the hospital environment as well as clinical reference laboratoriesReporting directly to the national sales director of the clinical business unit, this role will be pivotal to the success of nms labs in the clinical space and will be a key member of the sales organizationThe account manager for laboratory will be responsible for delivering topline revenue by establishing the value proposition of nms labs for different types of hospital systems including idns, acos, for profit, not for profit, federal and academic/teaching institutions, and clinical reference laboratoriesThis person will establish awareness in strategic hospital systems of nms labs and its breadth of esoteric toxicology testing in the clinical settingThe account manager, laboratory will develop plans and strategies to expand the hospital and large clinic customer baseThey should have a verifiable record of accomplishments and growing revenue within hospital systems and/or clinical laboratories and should be excited to be a part of a new role in a growing, customer focused company.
Requirements:
Bachelor of science degree, preferably in the sciences, mba preferred
3-5 years of key account management with experience utilizing enterprise selling skills
At least 5-7 years of previous sales experience, in addition to the above 3-5 years key account management
Strong understanding of customer needs in the areas of hospital systems, clinical lab testing and procurement including group purchasing organizations
Proven track record of delivering growth in both revenue and profits, establishing strong relationships coupled with utilizing analytical skills to deliver growth in new and existing customers.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Personally accountable for the achievement of revenue and profitability targets for hospitals systems and large clinics
Responsible for the acquisition of new hospital system clients as well as the retention and growth of existing clients
Develop relationships with influential decision makers at strategic hospital systems and group purchasing organizations to favorably position nms labs and the breadth of our esoteric toxicology portfolio of tests
Collaborate with customer experience team to ensure client receives highest level of service and on-boarding
Collaborate with marketing and lab operations to ensure that client needs are fully translated
Prepare sales presentations and account plans based upon specific customer needs including improving quality of care, cost containment, etc.
Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Provide reliable sales forecasts
Plan and manage expenses
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Travel as required
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong results orientation
Knowledge of selling clinical testing to major hospital systems and gpos at the enterprise level
Experience across the enterprise selling spectrum, from territory and account planning, opportunity identification, qualification, solution development and proposal and service delivery
Strong ability to create trusting relationships with team members
Strong analytical/financial and business acumen skills

Physical demands:
Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools
Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time
Ability and qualified to drive a vehicle.
Ability to travel via airplane.
Vision (with correction), distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
