The territory sales manager i will generate new account business and grow and maintain existing accounts business within an assigned territory defined by zip and state boundariesThis role will be the primary business contact with new customers within their territory and serve as the customer advocate, the “voice of the customer.” nts is a provider of testing and engineering services to multiple industries to include aerospace, defense, space, telecom, wireless, medical, and consumer electronics.
Prospecting and new account pursuit:
Identify potential customers to utilize nts services within territory
Work both self-generated and market leads to generate opportunities
Existing accounts management:
Grow and increase existing business within territory
Look for opportunities to cross sell nts services
General sales responsibilities:
Generating quoting opportunities by presenting and selling company products and services
Focused effort on winning work to meet assigned quotas
Preparing presentations, specific to potential customer needs
Customer communications including telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers
Participating in trade shows and conventions
Communicating new service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
Reporting and analysis:
Capture management, accurate forecasting
Preparing action/attack plans to identify specific targets and projects
Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up
Analyze the territory/market potential and determining the value of prospective customers
Ability to quickly learn nts sales process, being closely mentored and developed by mgmt and sr territory managers
Ability to establish and build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
Ability to provide excellent customer service to accounts
Excellent communication, interpersonal and interaction skills
Ability to learn how to plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the “return-on-time” investment for the territory/segment
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
Ability to develop technical knowledge and acumen in order to better understand nts’ capabilities
Must have proficient computer skills (ms office suite)
Must be a team player
Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time
Education and experience:
Hs diploma required
We are seeking someone in the orlando area or south of orlandoThis is a remote position but you need to travel to our orlando testing facility.
1-4 years of b2b sales experience to include new account and customer development preferably in a technical environment or we will consider b2b inside sales experience if you are seeking to move into a field sales role as your next step or we will consider a recent business graduate who is specifically an outside/b2b sales career.
You must be driven and motivated and have the ability to sell in a technical environment
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
