We current our seeking a part-time contract psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to provide care via videoconferencing for remote outpatient clinic in alaska.
Responsibilities and duties:
Responsible for providing psychiatric services to patients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled mental health clinics.
Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and developing a treatment plan consistent with partner company’s policies and procedures.
Responsible for interpreting lab results as indicated.
Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed utilizing national guidelines for treatment of acute conditions.
Responsible for maintaining customer relations with facility staff and patients in a variety of clinical settings.
Ensures patients are comfortable and satisfied with services received via videoconferencing.
Ensures hub coordinators collect pertinent information before patient encounter begins.
Responsible for logging on to computer/vidyo/emr 15 min before scheduled shift to ensure connection is stable.
Responsible for notifying hub coordinator and it with any connection issues.
Skills and qualifications:
Two years of experience as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Graduate of an accredited msn program with certification as a pmhnp.
Able to document and navigate emr independently.
Experience in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Ability to make clinical decisions based on remote monitoring and technology.
Proven ability to be flexible with work environment within the defined work hours.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of e-mail systems and web-based conferencing.
Ability to interact with others.
Experience in telemedicine preferred.
Must have current alaska license.
Must have a valid dea number or the ability to obtain a dea license in multiple states.
