Your role:
At milliporesigma, the emerging account manager (inside sales) is responsible for successfully positioning and selling standard product in the process and formulation materials (pfm) portfolio to existing and new accounts in the western us region and canadaThe job involves applying digital marketing tools and existing databases to engage and qualify new and existing customersThe emerging account manager understands the customer pipeline, projects, strategy, goals and works to seed new productsThis role works closely as a team with the pfm field account managers and pfm specialists within the regionWhen needed this position acts as a liaison between sales and commercial service to support customers and enable salesThis remote position will be working with accounts located in the western us and canada.
Apply the available tools and resources to secure sales and purchase orders while meeting financial objectives.
Document and report sales activity and share account knowledge by using salesforce.com.
Meet or exceed sales targets and seeding or product adoption goals.
Make `cold calls`, `asking` for the business and securing purchase orders.
Apply digital marketing tools to uncover new customers and support r&d organizations to drive new business and expand pfm footprint.
Develop a strong understanding of milliporesigma`s pfm products and capabilities.
Establish and complete strategies for securing new customers and maintain/grow existing business.
Partner with management to assess future business and contribute to accurate sales forecast.
Initiate outbound contact with existing and prospective customers to uncover sales opportunities.
Coordinate internal resources to address customer needs.
Negotiate price discussions with customers while asking for purchase orders.
Influence customers and diffuse potential problems.
Anticipate the customer`s needs and identifies appropriate alternatives.
Demonstrate solid account profiling skills including the ability to develop a detailed account strategy, analyze market share and maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics.
Represent `voice of the customer`, and `voice of the field` feedback to internal partners.
Who you are:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree
1+ years of sales experience
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor`s degree in a life science or science field.
3+ of sales experience
Demonstrated capability of establishing relationships at all appropriate account levels to close the sales process.
Experience working in life science, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and/or healthcare industry.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing tactical business plans.
Business acumen in the pharma regulated market.
Demonstrated ability with excel, microsoft office software, salesforce.com in a business environment.
Sales competency which includes selling, relationship building, call planning, territory development, follow-up and closing skills.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, especially to targeted audience.
Ability to work in a matrixed organization inspiring collaboration to achieve results.
Problem-solving competency in handling issues with supply, product performance, sales, and customers.
Above average presentation skills within customer training, strategy meeting and account planning.
Time management skills in implementing and carrying out successful plans of action that balance your sales activities with customer needs, purchasing needs, account development as well as regional needs.
