Microhealth is seeking a software developer - (position is open to remote candidates) to support our growing team at our hq in vienna, va.
Our high-performing, motivated, and award-winning software development team seeks a software developer to help us support a federal customer’s public health mission.
Participate in daily stand-up/scrum meetings, as well as post-scrum problem-solving meetings with architects, other developers, and quality assurance (qa) team
Design and develop new features and enhancements to server code and user interfaces of a high-profile, internet-facing, web application
Help investigate and resolve customer issues in functionality, performance, or security.
Must have technical, analytical, and collaborative skills necessary to plan, design, coordinate, and implement activities in all areas of software development
Must have the communication skills to collaborate with all software development team members, including analysts and testers
Must have the skills to plan and document work, produce high quality designs and other work products, analyze problems, and recommend and implement solutions and improvements
Develop code to meet user story acceptance criteria
Debug, test, and fix errors
Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
Estimate level of effort to develop code to meet acceptance criteria
Maintain records to document program development and revisions
Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior developers
Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs unit tests
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system
Extensive object-oriented software development and domain design
Bachelor`s degree in computer science or related degree
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development
Strong background in c#, windows server / iis / ms sql server / .net
Experience with asp.net / aspx / mvc
Experience with bootstrap framework
Experience in visual studio
Knowledge of software design and programming principles
Experience with agile and devsecops is preferred
Azure devops repository & build pipelines
Experience with telerik rad controls and/or kendo is a plus
Preferred knowledge of ui/ux design
Knowledge of security concepts is preferred
