About the role:
Manage all aspects of an assigned portfolio of accounts, ensuring the relationships meet corporate standards for risk, credit, covenant compliance, and financial controlsThe account executive ii will report to the ggl (government guaranteed lending) director of portfolio management, and will be primarily responsible for managing relationships in ggl`s conventional loan portfolioThis position will support the director of portfolio manager and require a skill set involving the understanding of banking, risk management, leadership and vision.
What you will do:
Manage portfolio through complete and current knowledge of client`s financial condition, management`s performance, and industry trends, and take timely action so client losses are minimized and do not exceed budgeted standards.
Monitor and ensure a borrower`s compliance with established loan covenants
Build and preserve trusting relationships with co-workers and borrowers
Follow-up on past due accounts
Monitor and track watch credit accounts
Perform servicing actions which include payment deferments, collateral sales, changes to ownership structure, etc.
Resolve borrower complaints quickly and effectively
Completion of annual reviews for both performing and non-performing accounts
Complete and present credit renewal extensions and new loan requests for existing portfolio borrowers
Assist director and other account executives with both stressed and distressed loan workout scenarios
Assist portfolio manager and account executives in training and mentorship of junior account executives
Collection of post-close documentation
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned
What you will need:
Bachelor`s or equivalent (accounting/finance).
Preferably 3+ years of experience at a bank with a credit background
Must be detail oriented and analytical
Customer service mindset
Communication skills (verbal & written)
Proficiency with microsoft office
