Overview: cloud data integration specialist (senior applications developer)
Position can be done remote (work from home).
Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional or operational areas analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systemsProvides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs develops conversion and system implementation plansPrepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentationRecommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements may train users in conversion and implementation of system
7 to 10 years of hands-on experience with etl, data integration, and data management concepts, including packaged and/or cloud-native etl applications (iics, azure, databricks, synapse, enterprise scheduling tools etc.), preferably within the health care industry
Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
Required education: bachelor`s degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Work closely with project teams to deploy new analytics tool solutions for new cloud-based solutions and proof-of-concept efforts
Independently design, configure, deploy and maintain complex cloud-based solutions
Maintain and keep-current on-premise analytics tools and platforms
Contribute to the migration from on-premise platforms and tools to cloud-based solutions
Develop, package, test, document and implement quality infrastructure on a variety of platforms (linux, windows, etc.)
Debug and correct complex internal and external infrastructure problems
Document step-by-step procedures and system configuration for use in ongoing support and future efforts that require modifications or upgrades to the infrastructure
Exceptional understanding and proven experience with rdbms and sql, with an emphasis on data warehousing, data analytics, and performance tuning
Thorough understanding of data integration approaches, including profiling, validating and cleaning different types and formats large data sets
Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills; an innate ability to utilize all resources at your disposal to find a creative solution to a problem, whether business/functional or technical in nature
A desire to take initiative and continuously work on improving the products you are responsible for; a mindset for doing things `right` vsJust getting things `done`
Ability to work under pressure in an extremely fast paced and at times ambiguous environment, with tight client deadlines
The ability to work well independently when necessary, as well as in a team-based environment
Excellent conversational and written communication skills
Working experience in programming with python for data integration/wrangling and data science use cases
Hands-on experience in unix/linux shell scripts
Certifications preferred are: epic data model certification , cloud certifications or trainings (specifically iics, azure).
