The senior business intelligence programmer analyst is responsible for transforming business requirements into bi technical solutions that efficiently enable analytics capabilities to be deployed in support of business and strategic objectives of the enterpriseThis role must provide subject matter leadership and expertise on the technical solution of a bi project to support analytic deliverables and capabilitiesThe srBi programmer analyst will have heavy interaction with our business analysts to ensure all requirements are covered and thoroughly documented
Responsibilities
Transform business requirements that leverage available mmo development tools into bi solutions that enable reporting and analytic capabilities in support of the business and strategic initiatives of the enterprise
Evaluate functional and technical business requirements for developing, coding, testing, and deploying a business intelligence data mart and analytics capability
Provide subject matter expertise on data modeling, program development constructs, enterprise data, data transformation, and bi datamart architecture
Collaborate with all business stakeholders, primarily business analysts, in gaining understanding of requirements/data needs, remediating data discrepancies from interaction with others, and creating design documents for deliverable capabilities
Apply innovative ways to deliver powerful and robust analytics products and solutions that allow enhanced end user experience and ease of use capabilities
Contribute to the review of test plans, test cases to ensure all requirements are covered and documents are thorough in addition to providing support for critical user acceptance scenarios
Develops and maintains moderate to complex computer programs using 4gl programming languages (such as sas, sql) and other database technology (db2, sql server).
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Supports agile delivery practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mis, it, computer science or related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence.
Experience in data analysis and report design/development.
Strong knowledge of tableau, some sql, and basic sas to write complex, highly-efficient queries across disparate data sources and large volume of data.
Ability to translate technical information in a simple way to non-technical end users.
Ability to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions.
Innovation around persona driven development and data visualization.
Health care background preferred
