Collaborate with the art director to interpret design language standards and systems into expression.
Responsible for the creative expression across all marketing channels with a focus on developing meaningful creative content as well as evolving medable’s brand expression to up-level relevance and execution strength.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to develop the skills, talents, and careers of the brand creative team and guide them in their day-to-day activities and collaboration across the organizationContinue to build (recruit and hire) team members as needed.
Build up the design studio culture and activities, including representing design in the organization as a whole, alongside other design leadership (vp of experience design and vp of product design)
Work and collaborate with marketing to make sure our brand is well represented across all different platforms, content, and communications; lead all creative output in marketing with the cmo’s guidance
Communicate key initiatives to functional leadership and executives with the chief design officer
Participate in strategic decision making and planning for brand development
Be a strong advocate for design thinking and ensure the brand voice is consistent across every touchpoint and push the brand forward in all marketing initiatives

10+ years of experience in design leadership or a combination of education and experience in this field.
Experienced at successfully completing large-scale rebrand or brand evolution projects
Experience as a designer and design leader in a wide variety of projects
Experience developing brand design systems and asset management strategies
Proven ability to effectively manage people, including developing talent on your teams and recruiting a diverse team that reflect the audience
Understanding and appreciation for the correct application of data and metrics in brand and asset development
Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
Proven strategic and creative thinking skills with strong business acumen, that can inspire, generate, and execute innovative ideas to maximize business performance
Ability to balance creative craftsmanship with deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Adobe creative suite (relevant), figma (plus), (or other online collaboration tools)
Bachelor’s degree degree or equivalent training and experience in human-centered design, interaction design, design research, user experience, or other design disciplines
Master’s degree or equivalent human-centered design, interaction design, design research, user experience, or other design discipline, preferred
