Medsec is exclusively dedicated to the unique challenge of medical device and healthcare cybersecurityMedsec partners with medical device manufacturers and healthcare delivery organizations to help address cybersecurity in medical devices throughout all stages of the device lifecycleWith medical device manufacturers, medsec leverages its cybersecurity expertise, coupled with its intimate knowledge of the healthcare regulatory and operating environments to offer support in design, architecture, verification, penetration testing, risk assessments, regulatory filings, and execution of security best practices in the development of new medical devices as well legacy systemsWith healthcare delivery organizations medsec leverages its intimate knowledge of medical devices to offer software solutions for cybersecurity and asset management of connected medical devices in hospitalsMedsec is an active participant in helping move the cybersecurity healthcare community forward and participates in a number of standards and best practice committees involved in furthering cybersecurity for medical products.
We are looking for a site reliability engineer (sre) with demonstrated experience supporting services that enable customers and internal employees to improve their experience with medsec devices and within medsec respectively.

Conceptual and goal-driven, with a results-oriented mindset
Passionate about technology, especially automation and operations
Excellent teammate not only skilled in what they do but excited to mentor others
Experienced with the chaos and bliss that is engineering at a start-up
How you`ve gotten here
5-10 years experience in a devops, sre, or production engineering role
5-10 years experience with production aws ecosystems and workloads
Fluent in at least one coding language and able to pick up other languages as needed
Fluent in at least one infrastructure as code language (terraform and/or pulumi preferred)
What you`ll do
Automate toil away, leveraging modern orchestration tooling
Improve the capability to operate our production environment, including improving operational awareness, availability, and reliability
Architect and implement new solutions to support the goal above
Resolve / escalate production operational incidents
Partner with teammates across the firm, enabling them to achieve their goals more efficiently, effectively, and consistently
How we make the magic happen
We support medsec devices in customer data centers
We`re an aws cloud-based organization that leverages serverless capabilities wherever possible
We run a high-throughput, low-latency data pipeline based on kafka
We currently leverage cloudwatch for monitoring and provide alerting through opsgenie
We provide aaa for internal users through google but would like help migrating to office / microsoft 365 and azure ad
