Mcguire research services is a leader in b2b and consumer data driven insights and visual reportingOur team works collectively across multiple disciplines and geographies to bring together the very best for each of our clients, and on every projectWe are currently looking for a director of research and development to provide oversight and direction to our research team and to manage client research projectsThis position is involved in client development and management as well as in all aspects of coordinating and executing survey-based research projects, from proposal development and drafting, research methodology design, survey development/creation, questionnaire writing, data analysis, and written analysis/reportingIf you are passionate about driving creativity in a cross-functional role to deliver best in class projects, this is the perfect opportunityWe have a fast paced, client focused work orientation.
Ability to understand and develop complex methodologies and research plans that address client needs, thus giving the ability to successfully respond to request for proposals (rfps) that outline recommended research designs and methodologies to best achieve client goals.
Participate in all steps of a research project that include, but not limited to: proposal drafting, survey design, questionnaire writing, survey programming, study fielding, data analysis, report writing, and visual reporting deliverables for client presentations.
Oversee and become an expert in online market research methodologies and technology platforms to garner the best results from external vendors.
Coordinate with company executives to coordinate outside analysts, statisticians, and economists.
Translate complex research data into high quality, visual and consultative deliverables with actionable insights and recommendations for our clients.
Leverage digital project related tools, both internal and external, to enhance efficiencies and data analysis.
Coach, manage, motivate, inspire, and collaborate with our exceptional team to deliver best in class insights.
Train staff in the creations of complex variables to create new banners/filters, manipulate tables/data to explore hypotheses for reporting.
Stay abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and cultural trends to ensure research projects spanning multiple geographies run without issue.
Successful in executing account management procedures, growth planning expectations, and budget expectations.
Lead client meetings and deliver presentations as needed.
Share knowledge and experience with mcguire staff.
Special projects as required.
Leverage your deep experience in client management and innovative quantitative and qualitative methodologies to manage ongoing research partnerships that help clients achieve their research objectives.
Identify and develop business opportunities among new and existing clients.
Continue to increase awareness of mcguire research services’ capabilities and offerings.
Be deeply engaged in all facets of daily business operations to contribute to best practices and processes so that mcguire research services delivers exceptional products and services in all divisions.
Keep abreast of industry fluctuations and advancements.
Special projects as required.
Skills & experience:
10+ years of supplier side, hands-on experience constructing and conducting custom marketing research projects.
Advanced proficiency in using spss, r, or sas statistical software.
Advanced proficiency in using wincross or alteryx, and power bi or tableau.
Advanced proficiency in using microsoft office suite
Proficiency in sawtooth or related products
Experience conducting online research studies and/or using a pre-recruited panel to conduct surveys.
A proven record of developing and managing large strategic client relationships.
Unsurpassed attention to detail and organization, with an ability to manage multiple clients/projects at once, effectively shifting priorities and timelines as needed to deliver exceptional results.
A proven history of being an enduring, positive, and collaborative leader who coaches and mentors junior colleagues.
Must genuinely care about all facets of the company, our strategy, and reputation in the market.
Diverse global industry experience in b2b and consumer insights is required.
Must have a teamwork evangelist attitude.
This is a work from home position.
Master’s degree in marketing, research methods, social sciences, or related field.
