The business development specialist will be responsible for supporting sales targets and specific objectives to assist in the company’s continual growthThe business development specialist is responsible for supporting the agent network by responding to daily inquiries, provide regularly scheduled reporting and analysis, and assist in solutions strategies for agents and customersAdditional duties will include sourcing, qualifying and enrolling customer and agent leads by conducting cold calls, responding to inquiries, connecting through social media and a variety of other networking methods.

Essential functions statement(s)
Receive telephone calls and respond to emails from agents, customers, carriers, vendors, and internal employees that require assistance.
Maintain records of all agent interactions and communication via the crm database.
Formulate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the director of operations support, agent network, and customers.
Research agent and customer prospects (including those individuals given by upper management) on social media, through the crm software, etcTo identify potential future agents and customers.
Contact agent and customer prospects by telephone and/or email to develop a pipeline for recruitment.
Adapt presentations to target specific prospects.
Coordinate and complete sales calls with these individuals, while referring to scripts and prompts that describe the organization’s services.
Attend and participate in sales calls; in person and via conference call.
Attend and participate in trade shows and industry conferences.

Skills & abilities
Education : bachelors degree; bs or ba preferred
Experience : two to four years related experience preferred
Ms office required with advanced proficiencies in excel, crm experience required; social media
