Regional housing facilitator - jamestown or fargo areas
Position summary: the money follows the person project at the north dakota center for persons with disabilities (ndcpd) @ msu is recruiting for a qualified applicant to serve as a regional housing facilitator.
Requirements: the chosen applicant will be responsible for 1) achieving assigned grant and contract goals and objectives under the direction of ndcpd’s executive leadership team and/or project directors; and 2) contributing to ndcpd’s core functions and goalsBelow is a list of typical duties for this position; the level of responsibility and frequency of each will vary:
Become knowledgeable about ndcpd and carry out the assigned project goals and activities.
Develop/disseminate material (instructional materials, articles, brochures, presentations, technical reports).
Provide technical assistance and/or consultation to individuals, agencies and consumers.
Provide training and present at meetings and conferences.
Perform research and data analysis that impact individuals with disabilities.
Negotiate memorandums of understanding and agreements following ndcpd and msu guidelines.
Participate in agency, statewide, and national planning/policy groups to address unmet needs and emerging issues.
Coordinate, conduct, participate, and travel to meetings and conferences both in and out of state.
Provide supervision of ndcpd staff.
Develop other external funding resources to further disability research, services, training and technical assistance.
Participate in internal ndcpd committees and activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Selection criteria / minimum qualifications:
Position requires a bachelor's degree with a major in business or public administration, finance, accounting or related business field; or a social work or related behavioral science field.
Applicants must have 1 year related work experiencePreference will be given to applicants with experience in affordable housing development, city planning, multifamily property management, single family real estate development, commercial and real estateOr, banking/lending specific work experience as described above may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
Experience in giving presentations, writing technical reports and/or grants, and basic research activities helpful but not necessary.
Chosen applicant must be able to handle confidential situations; be self-directed and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently; have the ability to contribute to a fast-paced, changing work environment and contribute to the success of the project and reputation of ndcpd; and have the ability to interact and communicate professionally with people with disabilities, constituents and staff.
Chosen applicant must have a valid driver’s license and satisfy a criminal history background check prior to employment.
