Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and design teams to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and drive ideation & implementation in the entire value stream via innovative solutioning for integration of product, process, people, and technology.
- Ensure seamless transition of solutions maintaining a strong internal value chain to drive appropriate technology adoption by providing effective feedback on feasibility and safety through solution testing and trialing
- Provide project management support for key projects and track the successful execution against the set timelines and provide updates on deviations to the management teams for effective decision making.
- Identify and analyze garment construction details to ensure accurate identification and documentation of all sewing operations and alignment to chassis, whilst influencing necessary to ensure production feasibility.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure production feasibility, quality metrics, technology variables, SOP etc. are incorporated throughout the development and manufacturing process.
- Ensure product quality and design intent is in line with customer requirement at handover
- Identification of common operations and constructions for chassis classification, maximizing common operations to improve repeatability and manufacturability, and identification and implementation of opportunities for simplification, narrow down, standardization, optimization, and automation within financial feasibility parameters. Ensure connectivity with design team to improve design for manufacturability by frontloading operation and component standardization framework and data.
- Ensure production performance feedback on construction, quality, productivity, solution success rate and safety are captured in new development of product, technology, and process.
- Drive the productivity improvement in each product type by applying knowledge pertaining to method and time study, work measurements & layouts whilst maintaining safety & ergonomics in each operation.
- Ensure product craftmanship is maintained at adequate levels from design to finished garments by influencing quality related processes and management systems.
- Smooth transition of bulk package encompassing sample, OBD, construction, product specs, machine info, talent maps, training package etc. to production team.
- Ensure BOM update, sewing & pattern corrections, constructions, and other costing related information is shared with relevant team.
- Assist the costing process by ensuring data availability to support product pricing, accurate capturing of improvements and clear mapping of cost drivers to offer competitive pricing in alignment with the profitability directives as well as customer FOB targets.
- Ensure the product SMV is calculated & adjusted based on the current best methods using accurate General Sewing Data (GSD) techniques and communicated accurately for production planning, capacity planning and budgeting. Lead costing exercise to validate the SMV savings and incorporate the same into the operations break down. (Cutting SMV, Sewing SMV, Inspection, Packing/ Finishing, Embellishment).
- Drive sustainability initiatives across the plant to improve overall carbon footprint, energy & water consumption, renewable energy consumption % and stock write-offs.
