Essential duties and responsibilities
Work both independently to develop customer relationships, and collaboratively with internal teams to exceed sales goals and analyze new market opportunities.
Using knowledge and understanding of warehouse, material handling / intralogistics and distribution operations, develop innovative solutions by applying material handling and automation technologies to address customer needs.
Provide input to the development of timely robust proposal packages that include costs and initial solution designs.
Work with project management to make sure projects are completed successfully with high customer satisfaction scores.
Provide ongoing customer relationship cultivation and new opportunity identification.
Work with marketing team on the development and implementation of marketing & sales initiatives.
Travel percentage: 40% or more to us customer locations – includes local day travelLarge amounts of overnight travel is not required if region has sufficient customer base.
5+ recent years of developing new and expanding existing business in material handling markets
2+ recent years’ experience selling integrated conveyor and other material handling equipment or systems
Knowledge of material handling systems, equipment and conveyors used in industrial environments such as distribution centers, 3pl’s, warehouses etc.
Knowledge of automation solutions, palletizing or de-palletizing robots and picking technologies and/or warehouse control software
Must be responsive to requests, solution driven, resilient and appropriately optimistic
Partnership builder who effectively communicates the applications, features and roi of proposals to stakeholders at all levels
Must have demonstrated ability to excel working in cross functional, matrixed environments
Robust user of customer relationship management (crm) software who utilizes it to manage and analyze the customer lifecycle, improve relationships, reduce cost, and improve sales
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with above average presentation experience
