Provides thought leadership with in-depth experience, knowledge and keen understanding of current and emerging azure cloud technologies and service delivery methods along with knowledge in security and compliance related to the fieldDesigns, architects, implements and delivers end to end solutions that result in realization of value critical to individual and company successSupports customer environments in azure and provides technical leadership to engineering staff as member of logicalis’ 24x7x365 operations team.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Designs and architects azure services to meet client and logicalis needs; spans traditional on premise to cloud solutionsAcross virtualization and cloud offerings and incorporates microsoft security disciplines.
Maintains knowledge of new and evolving azure technologies and features to aid in delivery of servicesMakes use of this knowledge to train and mentor managed services technical resources; authors and maintains knowledge articles in support of service offerings.
Coaches and mentors technical teams on microsoft support processes including, but not limited to: opening microsoft support tickets, microsoft csp subscription administration, and employing microsoft csp best practices and security guidelines.
Manages and maintains logicalis user management with microsoft partner center.
Maintains current knowledge of core service offerings and service level agreements (slas) and understands all logicalis service offerings to better support clients as well as expanding any service offerings to current clients.
Provides service leadership, creates and updates service descriptions, delivery models, and updates logicalis’ pricing tool to reflect effective pricing models.
Identifies, tests, evaluates, operationalizes, and documents microsoft and related solutions and services.
Performs routine studies, environment reviews and analysis for enhancing processes and resiliency to increase efficiency and productivity of operations teams, technologies and environments.
Collects statistical information to monitor growth; reports and recommends action to management.
Provides technical leadership; acts as technical resource and mentor to team.
Develops, defines, documents and implements operational and security related standards, policies, processes and frameworks.
Conducts and participates in root cause analysis and problem management processes.
Supports escalated issues; coordinates communications between operations staff; supports staff to resolve complex issues.
Understands information technology infrastructure library (itil) and follows predefined itil incident, request, problem and change management processes.
Contributes to and maintains an innovation and improvement register to targeting quality, cost, performance, and reducing risk.
Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization`s values.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of logicalis to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience / technical requirements
High level technical understanding and ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts and vice versa.
In depth understanding of tcp/ip lan/wan networking technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience working in projects in support of large-scale programs
7 years of experience in microsoft azure technologies including infrastructure migrations, troubleshooting, implementation with strong experience in the following areas:
Architecting and delivering azure solutions
Scripting (powershell, python, terraform)
Automation (ansible, chef, puppet, sccm)
Cloud tools (azure resource manager, azure command line, azure security center, azure automation)
Computer virtualization technologies including hyper-v and vsphere
Computer os operation, hardening, and standards including windows and linux
Application and web operation, hardening, and security including apache and iis web servers, weblogic, sql and oracle databases
Familiar with azure networking including wan connectivity, hub-spoke model, nsgs, app gateways
Security compliance experience, such as itil, pci, iso 27001 or sox
Software defined data center (sddc)
Software defined networking (sdn)
Ids/ips reporting and defense strategies
Business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation
Disaster recovery and audits (risk portfolio)
Information technology and information security
Design and consulting experience focused on microsoft azure solutions.
Citrix; virtual applications and desktops
Proficient use of all microsoft office applications.
Microsoft certified: azure administrator associate (az-104)

Familiarity with company policies and procedures and review whenever clarification is required prior to addressing an issue in question with others.
Local travel and overnight travel between logicalis offices may be necessary (typically less than 5%).
