For over 40 years, linquest has been a leader in space systems technology solutions for u.sDefense and intelligence communitiesWe have an exciting opportunity for a 5g communications engineer to support our ongoing irad efforts within our 5g lab and to support several customer funded r&d programs in support of the dod.
We are looking for a 5g communications engineer to support our continued development of multiple path communications solutions for dod.
The 5g communications engineer will be expected to develop and influence technical specifications development, coordinate with internal and defense program interests, develop solutions within our linqlab and participate in working-group level technical discussions internal to linquest and outside to our dod customers.
Required experience
Degree in electrical engineering with focus on rf/wireless communications would be a plus.
Background with communication theory, networking concepts and protocols is strongly desired
5+ years of experience
General knowledge of 5g mobile comms architectures and base station components
Familiar with 5g core network capabilities and protocols (v2x).
Knowledge or experience with free 5g core is a plus but not required.
Previous experience with network modelling and simulation skills, prefer ns3 but will take opnet / riverbed modeler or other network simulation package with willingness to learn ns3.
Experience with software development for 4g or 5g layer 1, 2 and 3 protocol stacks and higher application layers
Satellite communications (satcom) experience and knowledge about satcom protocol standards (e.g., dvb-s/s2/s2x/rcs/rcs2, geo mobile radio, muos wcdma etc.)
8past experience working research and development programs would be a plus.
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop integration and analysis with rf communication applications is desired.
Experience with developing white papers for customer facing information is desired
Us citizen and the ability to obtain a security clearance
