Role & responsibilities:
Obtain a full understanding of the client and server-side implementation specific to the lilly pulitzer storefront.
Develop digital commerce features such as search, product details, personalization, and merchandising features such as catalog, pricing promotions etc.
Work with the platform development manager & senior director of customer systems in architecting solutions around customer experience; building, refactoring, and supporting our responsive website, and in-store digital customer experiences.
Participate in building and consulting on the architecture of solutions using commerce cloud’s open commerce api (shop, & data apis).
Code review pull requests.
Build and maintain a collection of tests for client-side and back-end js using tools like browserstack.
Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation.
Follow best practices to implement non-functional requirements like performance and scalability of the ecommerce solution.
Continuously monitor the performance of both our code and third-party code running on platform and the siteThe usage of pipeline profilers on platform and google chrome auditing/performance tools (or comparable tool set) is expectedAny change in performance should be noted in the appropriate place – pr feedback, jira ticket comments, confluence articles (practices to follow, etc).
Education, experience and competencies required:
A bachelor`s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Mastery of ecommerce implementations - mvc pattern, eclipse/visual studio code, grunt/gulp/npm/ant- primarily npm/yarn/pnpm.
Clear and profound understanding of object-oriented programming and the various patterns that come with it.
Integration experience with third-party vendors (storefront js/server-side controllers and services)This includes, but not limited to, payment & tax gateway solutions, loyalty vendors, ratings & reviews, social networking sites, consent/preference management etc.
Experience with server-side js frameworks such as either commerce cloud or nodejs.
A fast learner who can efficiently break problems down by logically deducing the problem point(s) and/or data needs and sources.
Forward thinker that’s self-motivated and is in touch with other technologies, which helps to provide a broader understanding to technology and problem solving.
Able to effectively communicate with all members of the digital team, both technical and non-technical.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with standard js frameworks/libs such as angular/jquery/react.
A good understanding of best practices related to ccpa and gdpr.
Good working knowledge of ada standards for accessible design.
Experience with cloud technologies like aws/azure and build frameworks like jenkins.
This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtimeThis position is eligible for standard company fringe benefits.
Given the seasonality of the business, this position requires flexibility and additional working hours during peak periods.
This position is reviewed annually.
This position can be remote or hybrid, based out of king of prussia, pa.
