Reporting structure the delivery operations specialist is a vital role in the skillable customer operations department, reporting directly to the customer operations manager, while also working closely with the delivery operations coordinator on daily tasks and responsibilities.
Skillable is currently seeking a delivery operations specialistThis individual is responsible for ensuring that upcoming customer events and deliveries run smoothly and that customers have a world-class experience driving customer growth and consumptionThe delivery operations specialist will work with both our internal teams and our customers to facilitate important deliveries, provide customers with best practices, assist customers with content development, and identify potential risks and capacity concerns to make sure our delivery and growth opportunities with new or existing customers are a successThis position is completely remote, therefor a qualifying candidate is expected to have a home workspace that includes a private, quiet area for meetings and conference calls and occasional travelThis may include travel outside the us.
Essential job duties & responsibilities the delivery operations specialist is integral to understanding what our customers care about and helping our customers achieve successEssential job duties refer to those responsibilities that are critical and necessary to do the job, but also include the following:
1Understands the customer delivery lifecycle and what our customers care about for successful events and deliveries2Tracks upcoming deliveries, potential dangers, and helps determine solutions to alleviate issues proactively3Communicates with internal teams to raise awareness for events and concerns and prepare resources for upcoming deliveries4Works with customers to educate and advise them on event best practices, planning and testing, and potential concerns.
1Reviews data on deliveries, capacity, and execution to drive improvement of internal processes for future deliveries2Meeting with customers for event kickoff as well as periodic alignment updates3Assisting customers with content and virtual environment development4Assisting customers with scheduling and setting up of classes and organizations5Assisting with pre-event scale and performance testingThis may require additional assistance on weekends or evening work for larger events.
Delivery execution and support
1Manages preinstancing of labs for customer deliveries2Support event deliveries both remote and in-person as neededThis may require additional assistance on weekends or evening work for larger events3Working with the internal infrastructure, support, and sales teams and communicating problems and concerns in real time.
Collateral job duties & responsibilities collateral job duties refer to those responsibilities that are less critical to do the job or only arise from time to time.
Contribute to discussions and decisions on tasks and projects relating to customer deliveries and events.
Create and maintain delivery operations related documentation for both internal and external use such as guides and best practices.
Voluntary travel to participate in team co-working sessions and offsite meetings as needed.
Experience working closely with customers and understanding their needs.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and find solutions independently and within a team.
Clear and professional communication skills – both written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with collaborative tools such as microsoft outlook, teams, planner, etc.
Comfortable working from home and a self-motivator.
Basic knowledge of virtual and cloud environments and technologies.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the skillable platforms, products, and customer ecosystem.
Comfortable working with data platforms such as powerbi to pull and analyze customer reports.
Willingness to travel to in-person events.
Willingness to research various customer technologies to support customers.
Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position.
Ability to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to constantly operate equipment such as telephone, computers, etc.
Ability to move equipment, in excess of 5 lbs.
