Job description: plc/hmi programmer for process automation in water/wastewater industry
Responsibilities
Understand process control narratives and program plc and hmi.
Understand kubota’s standard hmi design and graphics and integrate it in the code.
Simulate the code to debug, update and modify prior to plant start-up.
Help project managers finalize process control narratives.
Creating alarm lists.
Establish standard code and apply customization for each individual project.
Review electrical drawings of project construction drawings.
Review network drawings of project construction drawings.
Review hardware of control panel drawings.
Coordinate with control panel suppliers.
Create hmi o&m manual.
Establish remote control, monitoring system and remote data retrieval system.
Help commissioning remotely or in the field.
Travel is required, infrequently and occurring about 20% of the time depending on the project.
Qualifications
Bachelor of science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience with plc&hmi programming and control system integration in industrial/municipal water/wastewater process industryExperience would ideally include;
-integrating process automation
-establishing remote control and monitoring
-developing historian, automated reporting system and alarming system
-configuring network and communication schematics
-coding such that multiple processes communicate and work together in sequence
Experience on 20 or more projects as a lead programmer of plc & hmi in the water/wastewater process automation industry.
Experience with controllogix, compactlogix, panel view, rslogix, studio 5000 and factory talk view se/me
Experience with opc-ua server, sql server
Must be a us citizen or lawful permanent resident in the us.
