Technically deliver the assigned project(s) to the project managerLiaison between the project manager/engineering design department for compliance of the project design at installation phaseAlso on site being the primary technical point of contact for the customer/contractors.

Specific responsibilities
Take initial project responsibility for
Setting out sites
Onsite technical compliance with project design
Prepare, schedule, co-ordinate and monitor the assigned project resources in line with project program
Suggest and implement cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project(s).
Plan and organize the work, plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.
Undertake or organize the continuous snagging of work on site, arranging for appropriate action and works to be taken.
Manage the permit to work systems as required.
Acting as the focal point for any unexpected technical difficulties, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner in order to avoid any delay to the project.
Liaise and communicate on a regular basis and as required for the smooth operation of the project, to include
Site manager.
Clients and their representatives.
Consultants, planners, quantity surveyors etc.
Sub-contractors.
Supervisors and workforce involved in the project.
Monitor project progress to establish site variations and delays against contract, keeping all relevant parties informed and resolving issues whenever possible.
Write detailed reports and updates for the project manager and all interested parties.
Ensure that health, safety and environmental standards are understood and adhered to at all times.
Undertake the role and responsibilities of site manager as required.
Skills/requirements
A background in both electrical and/or mechanical engineering
Site management experience
Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
Good it skills – word, excel and microsoft project
Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home as required
Experience of chp installations, steam raising plant and all aspects of ancillary equipment
Desirable
Degree in mechanical engineering or us equivalent, electrical engineering or related technical subject
